NCFPC 2012 Voter Guide Orders The North Carolina Family Policy Council surveyed a record number of candidates, nearing 600, during this year’s election season, and compiled the responses of 365 general election candidates into the Council’s questionnaire. In addition to printing 500,000 copies of the guide, the Council will scan and make available on its website the actual questionnaires submitted by the candidates, including comments or explanations many candidates chose to provide. The 2012 Voter Guide includes all candidates running for the following offices:
The North Carolina Family Policy Council’s has also produced a 2012 Voter Registration Toolkit to assist citizens in implementing a voter registration drive in their church, civic organization, local community, etc. For new registration or registration changes for the November 6 general election, voter registration forms must be postmarked by October 12, or hand delivered to the local Board of Elections in person by that date. However, the Board of Elections allows citizens “who miss the registration deadline” to “register in person and then vote at one-stop voting sites in the person’s county of residence during the one-stop absentee voting period” (which runs from October 18 to November 3). Those who register during the one-stop voting period are required to “show acceptable proof of name and residence in the county.” The State Board of Elections voted earlier this week to extend the hours of early one-stop voting in several counties, including Anson, Craven, Forsyth, Pamlico, Richmond, Wake and Wayne counties. In particular, these one-stop polling locations will have extended weekend hours. Wake County will also operate an additional one-stop voting location in Knightdale. The final list of locations and hours has not yet been posted by the State Board of Elections. The guides are packaged in bundles of 100, so be sure to specify how many copies you need in multiples of 100 when placing your order.
