2007 Legislative Session
The 2007 Session of the North Carolina General Assembly began on January 24. Members of the North Carolina House and Senate were sworn into office and began the first of a two-year legislative biennium. Democrats hold majorities in both chambers following the 2006 fall elections, with a 68 to 52 majority in the House and a 31 to 19 majority in the Senate.
